Heat Distribution Plate - Flame Tamer- this 28 cm dia plate [ plus grips ] made by ibili of spain has 3 functions
- 1-it works on ALL induction stoves and will enable ANY other hob pan [ for exaple non inductionable copper ] to be used on any induction hob-by sitting it on top of the plate.[ as it heats via induction]
- 2-it can be used as a heat diffuser othewise known as a simmer [ ing ] ring; this is to spread and lower the heat to allow gentle heating of a pan ; for example sauces or melting. it is suitable for this purpose on ANY HOB including induction / ceramic halogen etc.It is often used with gas where low hat cannt be acheived as the flame blows out.
- 3- it can be used as a ' hob trivet' to allow small pans to stand on gas stove ' crossbars ' on any hob.
